At the time Great Soles was conceived when the co-founders experienced the loss of a family member to Melanoma. This loss and the seriousness of this illness partnered with the large but under-realized danger compelled them to use the brand as a platform to raise awareness,
Great Soles Gives campaigns focus on the fight against cancer. The funds we raise go directly to the medical community, supporting innovative medical research clinical trials so desperately needed to find more effective treatments and the search for a cure.

Breast Cancer Research
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States among women, detected in more than 192,000 women each year. It is the second leading cause of cancer death among women, claiming more than 40,000 lives. Physical practices like Pilates, barre, yoga and dance can be profoundly healing – in body and spirit – for women fighting Breast Cancer.
#GreatSolesGives campaign is in memory of our cousin who lost her battle with breast cancer. We were given an extra 15 years with her thanks to progress made through research supported by organizations like the SASS Foundation. Every October we offer a special sock dedicated to Breast Cancer giving.
Proceeds benefitting Breast Cancer research are donated to the SASS Foundation.
