Growing up, I always felt this deep ancestral connection to the Earth and beautiful ritual practices. I love to meditate, practice yoga, and do reiki/curandera rituals with crystals and herbs and candles. Truly creating a mind-body-spirit practice on the mat is a game-changer for quality of life.
I was a dancer up until college and then I found Pilates. I knew one day I wanted to be a Teacher Trainer, I find inspiration from taking workshops and classes from other instructors. There is always something to learn!
It was Summer 2006 -- the heated months of Shakira's Hips Don't Lie and Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous Girl. I was a rising sophomore at NYU -- feeling invincibly on top of the world -- and home for the summer in Suburban Philadelphia, working at Express and saving up to study abroad.
